A very happy "Carbonite" user…

Well, I’ve finally found the foolproof, automatic solution to backing up all my files. For years I’ve been doing a poor to non-existent job of backing up simply because anything that required any action on my end–even pushing a single key once a day–meant that I’d have to remember to do so and never miss the right time to do it. Needless to say, this was something that fell through the cracks all too often.

But for a measly $50 a year, I now have each and every one of my files backed up automatically offsite, through my Internet connection by a firm called Carbonite. The great thing is that the files are continuously sent to its servers–so whenever I make a change in a document, that version is automatically backed up. And I notice no slow down at all on my PC.

The whole process is amazingly simple and elegant. There’s even a free trial period so you don’t have to fork out any cash upfront till you’ve had a chance to try it out.
