If you haven’t checked it out already, you should be aware that the SLA 2006 Conference Blog
is up and running. It’s a great resource, not only for keeping up with what some of the conference presenters are saying during this week, but to detect the hot topics currently in the industry (apparently a session on using RSS was so popular the conference had to move the event to another room), and for its listing of “Blogs of Note”.
Conference blogging has turned out to be one of the most practically useful applications of blogs as a research tool. Word is that there will be a forthcoming book from Information Today soon on this topic co-authored by Steven M. Cohen of LibraryStuff and Marydee Ojala, editor of Online magazine, and blogger at Online Insider. I’m very much looking forward to seeing it.
